What this site knows about you

The short version

This site sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and has no advertising or cross-site tracking on it. The only personal information I get is what you choose to type into the contact form.

The rest of this page is the detail behind that, including every outside company your browser talks to while you're here.

What I collect

One thing: the contact form. When you send it, I receive your name, your business name, your email address, your message, and your phone number if you chose to add one (that field is optional and the form works without it).

There's no account to create, no newsletter, and nothing else on the site that asks you for information.

Where it goes

The form is delivered by Formspree, a form-handling service. Your submission passes through their servers and arrives in my email inbox, and they keep a copy in their dashboard. I read it, and I reply to it. That's the whole journey.

I don't add you to a mailing list, and I don't pass what you send to anyone else.

The email check

When you type an email address into the form, your browser asks Cloudflare's public DNS service whether that domain is set up to receive mail. It's how the form can tell a typo from a real address before you hit send, so a reply doesn't vanish into nothing.

Only the part after the @ is sent, never the part before it and never the rest of the form. The request carries no cookies and doesn't tell Cloudflare which page asked. If the lookup is blocked or times out, the form assumes the address is fine and sends anyway.

Analytics

I use Vercel Analytics to see which pages get visited and roughly how many times. It's cookieless by design: it doesn't set an identifier, doesn't follow you to other websites, and doesn't build a profile of you.

I look at it to know whether the work page is worth keeping. That's genuinely the extent of it.

Cookies

The public pages set none. Not analytics cookies, not preference cookies, not any. You can check: open your browser's developer tools on any page here and the cookie list is empty.

There is a private admin area at /admin that only I can sign into, and signing in sets cookies that keep me logged in. Those are strictly necessary for that login to work, they're only ever set for the person signing in, and they have nothing to do with visitors.

What this site doesn't do

No advertising networks. No Meta pixel, no Google Analytics, no retargeting, no session recording or heatmaps. Nothing here is sold or shared for marketing.

Even the fonts are served from this domain rather than fetched from Google Fonts, which means your visit isn't announced to a third party just to render the text you're reading.

How long I keep things

Enquiries stay in my email for as long as there's a reason to keep them, which usually means the length of a project plus however long the follow-up conversation runs. Formspree holds its own copy under its retention policy.

If you'd rather I didn't keep yours, say so and I'll delete it.

Your choices

Email me at tonytechbuilds@gmail.com and I'll tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. No form to fill in and no verification hoops beyond me being reasonably sure you're the person who sent it.

Depending on where you live you may have a formal right to ask for those things. You're welcome to them either way.

Children

This is a site for business owners hiring a developer. It isn't aimed at children, and I don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.

Changes

If I add anything that collects data or brings in a new third party, this page gets updated in the same change, and the date at the top moves. It shouldn't ever be out of step with what the site does.
